Ingredients

Salmon:
4 salmon fillets (4 ounces each)

Marinade:
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
3 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon smoked salt or sea salt
4 cloves garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Garnish:
1 tablespoon canola oil, divided, plus more for the grill
1 small bunch of scallions (about 5 or 6)
Compote:
1 large shallot, finely minced (about 1/3 cup)
1/3 cup dry fruity white wine, such as sauvignon blanc
4 cups fresh blackberries
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons honey
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
