A lovely shaded pie can be served as an appetizer for the holiday table. The sweet taste of onions and apples comes into balance with the rich and full flavor of the cheese.

Ingredients

80g extra virgin olive oil
2 large onions (thinly sliced)
3 apples (peeled and cut into small cubes)
2k.s brown sugar
salt in flakes
grated black pepper
60g vinegar
2k.s thyme
200g .manouri (broken by hand into chunks)
1 package puff pastry or kourou
1k.s melted butter
1k.s poppy
