Ingredients

Makes about 20 Strawberry Shortcake Cookies

1 lb of fresh Driscoll Strawberries
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
2 tsp of granulated sugar for sprinkling
2 cups of All-Purpose Flour
2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of Kosher salt
4 ounces of unsalted butter
1 ounce of unsalted butter for marinating strawberries
2 tsp of freshly ground cardamom seeds
1 cup of heavy cream
