Easy 10-minute recipe of steamed mussels with onion, garlic, white wine, lemon juice and parsley. Serve them with fresh ciabatta and a glass of white wine and you'll have a nice fancy meal for any occasion, be it a dinner party, a quick weekday dinner or a date night in. 1 kg or 2 pounds fresh mussels
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium-sized onion
2 cloves garlic
175 ml or 3/4 cup white wine (1 glass) or vegetable broth
a pinch of cayenne
salt
black pepper
minced parsley, to garnish
1/2 lemon, to serve
ciabatta bread, to serve
white wine, to serve (optional)
