4 - 8 chicken pieces with skin, see notes
Water
1 tsp whole pickling spices
1 bay leaf
1 clove
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
4 small onions
2 - 4 large potatoes
1 - 2 large carrots
1 - 2 celery ribs
1/3 cup long grain rice
1 heaping tbsp chicken base powder, or to taste
3 eggs
2 tbsp water
5 tsp cornstarch
juice of 1 - 2 lemons
