While on a recent trip to Thailand I began to notice how often Holy Basil is used in everyday Thai cooking. The fragrant, almost intrusive taste and smell can sometimes be overkill. However, when done right it is a welcoming flavour that can be added to an assortment of soups and stir-fry.

Ingredients

1 Pound Ground Lean Pork
2 Tablespoons grated fresh ginger
2 Tablespoons Braggs Liquid Aminos
4-6 Garlic cloves
1/4 Cup Holy (or Thai) Basil
4 Shallots
1/4 Cup spring onions
1/2 Cup green beans
1-2 Small Thai red chilies
1-2 Portions of your favorite vermicelli noodles
