6 ounces fresh blackberries
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
Kosher salt
Ground black pepper

For the meat and fruit:
3 boneless, skinless pasture-raised chicken breast halves, about 6 ounces each
2 firm but ripe medium peaches, unpeeled
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon ground allspice
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
