Ingredients
2 pounds ground sausage
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup Bisquick mix – if you don’t have Bisquick, or some other brand’s equivalent, you can substitute using 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon shortening. Mix dry ingredients together and then use a pastry blender or a fork to cut the shortening into the flour mixture. Voilà! You just made your own Bisquick.
1 large can whole jalapeños
