I'd say gimlets are a swank cocktail. Steep your gin in cucumber and it's a cool cocktail too.

2 1/2 c thinly sliced cucumber, plus more for garnish
4 1/2 cups gin
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup mint leaves, lightly packed plus more for garnish
2 1/4 cups fresh lime juice
lime slices and/or cucumber slices as garnish
