Prawn Biryani / Eral biryani – a recipe which holds in to do list for a long time. I was a bit hesitant to make this dish as it is seafood, I don’t know how it smells in biryani.

Ingredients

Prawns / Eral – 1 kg
Basmati rice – 2 cups
Coconut milk – 1 cup
Water – 2 ½ cups
Big onions – 3 nos.
Ginger garlic paste – 4 tbsp
Tomatoes – 3 nos
Green chilies – 3 nos.
Red chili powder – 2 tsp
Garam masala / biriyani masala – 2 tsp
Salt – as needed
Mint leaves - handful
Coriander leaves – handful
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
To Marinate:
Chili powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – a generous pinch
Salt – ¼ tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
To season :
Refined oil – ¼ cup
Brinjj leaf – 1 no
Cinnamon stick – ½ inch
Cardamom pods – 2 nos.
