Vanilla Pastry Cream:
500ml / 500 g milk
1/2 cup / 100 g sugar
1/3 cup / 40 g corn starch
2 egg yolks
1/2 vanilla bean, seeds scraped
Doughnut Dough:
1 cup / 250g 2% milk
7-g pkg quick-rise instant yeast
1/4 cup / 50g granulated sugar
1/4 cup / 57g unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
canola oil, for frying
Caramel Glaze:
1 cup / 200g sugar
1 tablespoon water
