Doughnuts:
3/4 cup of cake flour (not self rising)
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
1/3 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 cup of buttermilk, shaken
1 large egg, room temperature
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1/2 of a teaspoon of red gel food coloring
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar
Cream Cheese Glaze:
3 tablespoons of cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons of whole milk
1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1 and 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar, sifted
sprinkles* (optional)
