1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
11/2 cups butter (3 sticks), at room temperature
For the Apples
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
12-14 medium apples peeled, cored and sliced
1 caramel sauce, I used Smuckers
