Every year, about this time, I start wondering if it's too early to start doing the "fall thing". Fall is my favorite time of year and I'm just so anxious to get out my decorations and start making some cooler weather dinners.
Ingredients
1/2 c. butter or oil
1/2 an onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, peeled & chopped
salt and pepper
1/2 c. flour
5 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 c. milk or cream (or mix of both!)
3 c. broccoli florets
4 c. sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
