For the cake:
1 box mix Duncan Hines French Vanilla Cake Mix
3 Large Eggs
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup of water

For the Banana Cream Custard Filling:
1 ½ bananas, sliced
½ cup milk
1 ½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup corn starch
½ cup +2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon kosher salt

For Banana Buttercream:
½ cup butter, softened (not melted)
½ cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 ½ bananas)
6-7 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon heavy cream

Garnish (optional):
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
¼ unsweetened cocoa powder
