An intensely dark chocolate cake, topped with hot chocolate ganache to take it over the top! This is simple, rich perfection.

Ingredients

Yields: one standard bundt cake, not completely filled to the top!

For the cake:
12 tbsp (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 tsp water, room temp.
2 tsp instant espresso powder
3 large eggs
1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup buttermilk
pinch of salt

For the ganache:
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup milk or cream
