1½ cups sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
½ cup shortening
1 tsp salt
4 egg whites
2 tsp vanilla extract

Icing Ingredients:
3 cups icing sugar (otherwise known as “powdered sugar” depending where you live!)
½ cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
2 to 3 tbsp milk
