2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups nuts such as whole unpeeled almonds
(optional: 1/2 cup dried fruit such as currants)
