Not only were these chai shortbread cookies deliciously spicy from the chai, they were also perfect with a cup of hot tea.

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 bag chai tea leaves (if they’re whole leaf, crush them to make them finer)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened, but still cool
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
