6 large egg yolks
1 tablespoon fresh-squeezed lemon juice
6 large eggs whites
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoon granulated sugar (140 g/5 oz)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup rainbow jimmies, plus more for top
