1/2 cup unbleached white whole-wheat flour*
1/4 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
topping:
4 ounces low fat cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons low-fat sour cream
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon egg whites
1/2 cup reduced sugar strawberry preserves (I like Smucker's)
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
