1 cup (2 sticks or 226 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 cups (400 grams) sugar
3 large eggs, at room temperature

For the Fresh Whipped Cream:
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup (50 grams) sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Salted Caramel Sauce:
1 cup (200 grams) sugar
1/4 cup (63 grams) water
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1/2 cup (125 ml) heavy cream
2 tablespoons (28 grams) unsalted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt, crushed (omit 1 teaspoon for regular caramel sauce)
