Pressure cook rice for three whistles, in 1:2 ratio for 1 cup rice add 2 cups of water.
Slit green chillies.
Let the pressure cools down, spread the rice in a wide plate. Add oil so that the rice won't be sticky.
Heat a kadai, add peanuts and roast till they turn light brown or the aroma comes. Keep it aside.

5 to 7 Curry Leaves
2 to 4 Green Chillies
1/4 Teaspoon Asafoetida
