Soak masoor dal for 2 to 3 hours. Drain excess water and put it in a colander.
peel,boil and mash potatoes.
Chop onions and green chhillies.
Heat oil in a Kadai, add chopped onions and green chillies. Saute them till they become translucent.
Keep some portion of the dal separately and add remaining dal to the fried onions.
Saute well, add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, gar


1 Cup Masoor Dal
3 Large Potatoes
1 Large Onion
2 Green Chillies
Salt to Taste
1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
1/2 Teaspoon Aamchur Powder
