Fluffy and moist with so rich flavor that literally explodes in your mouth! It has this distinct scent of mastiha and mahlepi that you just can’t get enough! It may be a bit hard to make but the result will reward you!! Try it!!

Ingredients

Total Time: 9 hours
Serving Size: 3 large tsourekia

2 kilos strong flour
250gr butter, melted (lukewarm)
8 large eggs
650gr sugar
Zest from two oranges
1 tablespoon vanilla powder
10gr mahlepi seeds
10gr mastiha seeds
3 tablespoons sugar
Yeast
56gr instant dry yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
450ml lukewarm milk

For brushing:
2 egg yolks
3 tablespoons water

For garnish:
Gradet nuts ((I used hazelnuts)

For glaze:
250 gr dark chocolate
2 tablespoons butter
100ml heavy cream

For filling:
Nutella, merenda or whatever praline you like
Homemade jam
Grated nuts (I used hazelnuts)
Syrup
2 cups water
1/5 cup sugar
1 slice orange
4 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
