1/3 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup superfine sugar (you can pulse the sugar a few times in a coffee grinder)
1/2 teaspoon finely ground coffee
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
2 cups berries and cherries (I used a mix of Bing cherries and mulberries)
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sugar, divided
1 cup heavy cream
