1 standard-size jar marshmallow creme, such as Marshmallow Fluff
1 tablespoon maple extract

PUMPKIN CAKE:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
One 15-ounce can pure pumpkin
1/2 cup milk
Nonstick vegetable oil spray, for spraying the parchment
