1 cup butter, softened
1 cup canola oil
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
Pinch of salt
4 1/2 cups flour
For the Buttercream Frosting:
1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
3-4 cups confectioners sugar; lighten up by whisking in a bowl, not sifting
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
3-4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
