Our finished caramel syrup had a hint of saltiness but you can adjust it to fit your recipe needs. The syrup works great as a dip for sliced apples, apple chips and more.

¼ cup water
¾ cup heavy whipping cream (I have also heard that coconut milk works great)
3 tbsp butter, softened
¾ tsp kosher salt, ground
