All four of really like this homemade chicken gravy from scratch although Dad complains that it isn’t dark enough. I like the light gravy and prefer it that way. It is so very simple to make and you will wonder why you ever bought canned if you happen to be like me and not have a clue where to start with gravy.
Ingredients
In the dipper you will need to pour 2 1/2 cups of water.
You will need 1/4 cup of premium chicken stock.
We love the powder in the plastic container from Knorr.
We also use a little pinch of salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder.
Allow to boil.
In your frying pan you need to make a rue.
Take 1/2 cup of butter and 6 spoonfuls of flour and stir together.
Your burner should be on 4 and it needs to stay there.
You don’t want to burn anything.
Combine the flour and the butter together into a paste.
Stir a little more and add it to your boiling chicken stock water.
