An easy trick for those who love vanilla but cannot find the right vanilla taste. Buy a few pods of vanilla bean. Scrape out the bean and put it into an air tight container filled with sugar. When a recipe calls for sugar and vanilla, use a spoonful of this vanilla sugar. I find artificial vanilla to be too weak and pure
vanilla too be too strong. This does the trick.
